The challenge – bring together the systems and services of three disparate water and wastewater service providers under the combined umbrella of a single commercial entity serving the populations of three major regional councils.
The merging of three separate water and wastewater service provision agencies into one regional provider was initiated as part of a major reform platform of the State Government. The objective was to seek efficiencies and savings in infrastructure investment, whilst ensuring ongoing capacity to grow and deliver services to the region in a manner not possible through the use of smaller service providers.
Linkchallenge provided key project and business management services to support the transition to the new business model. Services delivered ranged from managing system and process integration through to procurement advisory and improvement services across all business areas.
